WRSR Accoyo Heat Wave

Heat Wave has everything you want in a herd sire. Starting out that he is FULL ACCOYO with an AFD of 23.7 at 45 months with a SD of 4.9 and CV of 20.6, he is holding his fineness and is uniform throughout. He has good density, shearing over 7# each year, and has a uniform white fleece with NO FAWN OR BLACK fibers. Heat Wave's regrowth is amazing, coming back with good locking and high luster.

Heat Wave is offered for sale only because I have too much of the same bloodline (Bruxo/Maurizio) where many of my Accoyo males and females are too closely related to breed to each other. I have cherished, perhaps even hoarded this bloodline, and Heat Wave is one of the best with his easy-going personality and ease of handling. Although he weighs about 190 lbs, he is one of the easiest alpacas to work with on the farm. He is vigorous, healthy and has no bad habits like biting, kicking, opening gates, nor picking on other alpacas.

Heat Wave is currently breeding, and we are pleased to announce he has a pregnancy confirmation. He was bred to MFI Peruvian Accoyo Moonshine, one of our top Accoyo foundation dams, and had a white male cria, WRSR Accoyo Viper by Heat Wave, in July 2016. We have greatly reduced the breedings we do each year, and with over 25 suri males and doing only a handful of breedings, these great boys have to sit on the bench waiting for their call up.
