Jairus (Joy's cria)

Lazaro by Lexus (a.k.a Studly) is an excellent herdsire, and we are thrilled to have him here at Honey Maple Farms/ICONIC Suri Alpacas! He has excellent EPD's and has produced some stunningly beautiful crias! Wonderful dispositions, dense and lustrous fleece-- you can't go wrong with Lazaro! He had top 1% EPDs in 3 categories 2 years in a row and is still holding strong in the Top 2-5 %. He is a conformationally correct male with good substance of bone and still exhibiting great density and luster at over 8 years old!! We have both male and female crias from Lazaro, and we absolutely love them! We are seeing fine, dense fleeces with amazing independent locks and LUSTER, on his offspring. Their regrowth after their first shearing has been impressive, and keeps getting better with time! Also important to us--Lazaro's crias have a wonderful, easy-going temperament! You can't always find that combination--great fleece, conformation AND personality!! We were excited to enter one of his first crias (Masada) in 3 fleece shows in 2020. Her fleece showed very well against some great competition! She earned 2 advanced fleece awards for scores over 80 points, which is fantastic! She has gone on to be a great foundation female for us. The genetics of Lazaro are just what we were looking for to bring our fleece production to the next level. As newer owners in the alpaca industry, we were fortunate to have such a great herdsire to start off with, and even more fortunate to be able to use Lazaro with confidence on a wide range of females. He is knocking it out of the park everytime! BIOPSY results: Density 62.8 S/P 12:1 Spread 6.7....very nice!!!! Check out his histogram and EPD! Also check out his Dam's histogram and EPD at age 12!!! Crown Royale line crossed with Kahuna line. Perfection!! We also now have Lazaro's son, Best of Luxe, working in our herd....and he is producing more of the same... Like father, like son!! AND soon we hope to get another AMAZING son, Jairus, started in production. His fleece is out of this world! We are expecting 2 crias from Lazaro, crossed with new bloodlines (Accoyo Kaden,) in late summer 2026. The wait is too much!!
