It was quite surprising to see a pure white "Angel" from a black dam and a dark fawn sire! Although Angel in the Morning comes from a significant color background, she is a solid white. She has a well locked fleece, although the locks tend to be more straight rather than twisted at her current age. She has good luster, a blanket fleece shear weight of 3 lb, 10 oz in 2015, and correct conformation. Her 2015 histogram yielded and AFD of 24.3 microns at 5 years old! Angel did well in the show ring a midst tough competition at some of the largest shows, including the 2011 Best of the US where she was awarded 1st Place in the yearling white females and 1st Place at the 2011 Empire Alpaca Extravaganza. She also placed 3rd at the 2011 MAPACA Jubilee in a very competitive class with some of the largest and best breeders in the country.
Angel is proven and a good mother. She produced Gabriele, a white male by Golden Winchester (brown). Gabriele is a beautiful little boy, almost 2 years old now. His fleece is very slick and drapey, and hangs in beautiful semi-twisted locks and dances with his movement. He sheared a 3 lb blanket in 2015 for his 1st shearing, and his fiber is well-locked and lustrous.
Angel is currently not pregnant, but she can be bred to a Wild Rose Suri Ranch or Rainbow Mountain Alpacas herd sire for a greatly reduced fee with her purchase.
