He arrived in June 2015 at 15.3 lbs as the first cria from Juliette, one of the last Kilimanjaro daughters. He was up and nursing within the hour, and is a strong and healthy potential herd sire with beautiful proportions, covered head to toe, and with a fine and uniform fleece across all three of his colors. He is the product of multiple champions from some of the best breeding programs in the country with lineage of WRSR Kilimanjaro, Diamonte of PVA, Young Acoyo Martha, and PIVA Blazen Son. Checkers just keeps getting better and better each month, and we are excited for the 2016 show season.
His dam is WRSR Juliette by Kilimanjaro, a beautiful medium fawn with high luster and excellent locking out of a bay black Renzo daughter. Juliette shears 6-7 lbs of fleece year and continues to maintain her coverage even on her face after multiple shearings.
His sire is PIVAL Poseidon of Grace, a multi-champion black and white herd sire owned by Arcona Alpacas and O'Malley Alpacas. Poseidon has a wonderful temperament and has competed not only in halter, but also in performance classes. His personality makes him a farm favorite to anyone who meets him. Poseidon is the son of Diamonte of PVA, another spectacular, black and white multi, multi-champion, and PIVAL Son's Grace, a multi-champion high luster female from the Pine Valley Suris breeding program.
