WRSR Navajo's Contessa

I can't find my full fleece picture of Contessa! That is why you are seeing the one picture of her fabulous fleece that I still had after my hard drive crashed. Arghh! Contessa has a very buttery soft handle, and is also extremely uniform. She is a fiber machine and produces routinely over 7.5 lbs each year of luscious red-brown uniformly colored fiber. Handspinners lover her fiber - easy to card and spin with very little waste. She is one you can spin right out of the bag without even carding! Contessa has excellent conformation as well, with good strong bone and proportions to the ideal standard. She has a pleasing personality and "plays well with others".

Her dam is Breakstone Aurora Sky. This girl has tons of buttery-soft fiber in a beautifully intense dark silver grey color. Her fleece spins with ease and produces a wonderful, soft yarn in the heathered shades of grey. Sky has substantial black genetics in her background with a bay black dam and 2 true black grand dams, and produces dark colored crias with intense coverage and incredibly soft fleece. Her first cria was multiple champion WRSR Peruvian Inferno, a medium brown solid male with beautiful luster and lock architecture sired by our Jimbobway. She has had 2 female crias, WRSR Peruvian Natalee Coal by the multiple champion true black herd sire Allegheny Peruvian King Coal, and WRSR Peruvian Contessa, a medium brown large female with her dam's incredibly soft fleece by 4X Champion WRSR Peruvian Navajo Gold.

Contessa's sire, Navajo Gold, was named for his rich fleece color exhibiting a blinding luster. He is the son of Peruvian Baccarat (Accoyo) who is beige, a grandson of Accoyo Bruxo, and has followed his full brother's footsteps, WRSR Accoyo Razor, in winning championships and producing championship winning progeny. His dam is DDF Mulan, a 1/2 Accoyo beige high luster producer out of the well-known Accoyo Bruxo. With a background of champion Accoyo bloodlines, his progeny have done very well in breeding programs and the show ring. Navajo's disposition is curious, friendly, easy-going, and he is a sheer pleasure to be around. Navajo is himself a 4X Color Champion at 2 of the largest shows in the country.
