WRSR Peruvian Doc Riley

ARI# 802443   D.O.B. 11/22/1997

Suri, Herdsire (Male), Proven | Medium Fawn

Full Peruvian
Sire: 4Peruvian Magnifico    |
Dam: 4Peruvian Tesora de Marfil (Accoyo)    |

Doc is a tall son of Magnifico, standing over 40" at the shoulder, with very fine fiber at 20.2 microns with a beautiful shining copper color. His locks are very consistent across his body, including his topknot, with excellent coverage of his narrow locks. His coloring offers interesting cria possibilities as evidenced by his gray face, white stripe across his brow, and almost black feet. His blanket is starting to grey out, as well as his neck, making him a rose grey! Doc has demonstrated his color production capabilities by producing appaloosas, fawn/gray/white pintos, solid fawns, and white. Hi latest appaloosa daughter, PLA Peruvian Doc Miller, has just produced a female light silver grey cria.

One of Doc's best traits is his very upright stance and straight topline. We have used him with females that have a more relaxed posture to consistently produce upright, showy crias with many of them having fantastic color and patterns. His 2004 cria, Silk Stockings, sold in the Private Collection Auction in September 2005 for $32,500 - beautiful fawn female with white stockings on her front legs. Flashy!

Doc represents limited bloodlines. His sire, Magnifico, died in 2003, and left Doc with a legacy of continuing to produce interesting patterns and colors in offspring. Doc is the 1/2 brother (same dam) as WRSR Peruvian Maelstrom who won the 2000 AOBA color and Age Championships as a yearling. Maelstrom was sold at the Private collection Auction in 2001 for $50,000, only two weeks after the 9/11 tragedy.
